i have a big box that I bought at Walmart in the auto section. Mine is like an "action packer". It keeps Rocky Racoon out of my stuff. Before I had the box, the racoons just loved to get into my stuff. e€very one needs a "Rocky Box".

Got to the PO

Postby Guy » Wed Jan 23, 2008 11:17 pm

Dear Dino,

Well, I fixed the car, YES, I , FIXED IT. Therefore, chances are, it will not be running next week/tomorrow. I pulled out the crashed in section over the left rear tire so now it is not scraping. There still may be some problem with the axle or alignment but it has been safe up to 40 miles per hour. It got me to a Post Office to mail my registration form and funds.
Regards,

Guy

Food Storage

Postby The Teardrop Nanny » Thu Jan 24, 2008 7:32 pm

:) Never had a really bad animal invasion, not like the SLO Racoons!
There are NO food lockers as this is an open campground with minimal site amenities. The cupboards in the kitchen store mops, brooms, horseshoes (non-edibles) etc. and I don't place any food in these because the mice can come. Last time when people left out their soap in the cook palace, it was still there the next day, but was "enhanced" with small black mouse droppings. Any food you keep out on the table is subject to being taken away by partying Blue Jays and squirrels, but generally the big mammals have not bothered campers. I store my foods inside the vehicle(s) or TD at night. An ice chest or two has been left out all night with no problems, but why push your luck? Hope this info helps.... ;)

I don't think anyone needs to worry about marauding invaders, I have it on good authority that the SLO angels will be patroling the camp at night protecting our women and little folks. But it probably would be a good idea to leave out brownies and cokies if you would like extra special protection.

Every trip has its drama

Postby Guy » Fri Jan 25, 2008 10:15 pm

Dear Dino,

The most important mechanic is the medical one. I will check out the car though. Hopefully, it will be OK and/or easily fixed. At least it is running. The best evidence of that is I have been able to get to the net and post again. :D

Before I sent in my registration I'm assuming that my TTT is acceptable, I don't need a teardrop to attend?

Dear Doug,

Of course you would be welcome. Dean and Joannie don't have any ridiculous rules. Just bring a sense of humor.

Ridiculous rules? So just what are you talking about? And shouldn't Doug's question be answered by Dean or Joannie? Or are you part of the organizing committee?

Doug,
All that is required to attend the event is to be a teardrop enthusiast.
You're enthusiastic about teardrops aren't you?

Oh...
It'd be a good idea to bring a dutch oven or two, maybe three. ;)
We look forward to meeting you!

TDN would not stand for such a thing... With or without gloves, even verbal sparring would cause negative energy.

Besides... She'd probably put you guys in time out too during recess.

PS... Her blackboard (Actually, I think it's green) is right down the street from the grove. :frightened:
