Anyone thinking about camping. It's too cold, but I'm sure looking forward to spring. The wife and I went around thanksgiving and we were fine inside the teardrop but going to the restroom was dreadful.

 Yes, getting up in the middle of a cold night to hike to the bathroom does suckith! But, it wouldn't be "camping" if your were not just a little tiny bit miserable.

I have been trying to camping for the past 3 weekends, but it's been raining every weekend. I don't want to purposely camp in the rain. Ya know?

I am located in Lynchburg. I built my teardrop last spring and we have used it a few times during the summer and fall. Currently it's under a tarp waiting for warm weather. I will continue work on it this spring.
Where are you located?

Hi drikwah,

Welcome to the forum. Winter camping is for the young and strong, or those living in southern areas of the USA. If it's below freezing at night, it is too cold for me to care about punishing myself.

See you around.

BTW, do you have a real first name? It is gonna be real hard for me to type "drikwah", or even pronounce it.

Whine Whine Whine What's 15 below wind chill we made it ( OK 12 hours) but we tried. The only difficulty is to remember you have 5 or 6 layers to get unwrapped to pee! It can lead to some awkward moments if you don't plan way ahead.
Growing older but not up !
