The "silkstone" build... saw daylight..

So, after seeing so many talented people, awsome builds and great feedback from people on topics, and not having seen the progression of my own in an order like this, I thought it was time for a post....

6 piece molded fibreglass tear/ttt
upper shell, lower shell, interior floor pan, left and right fender flare/step, propane/battery cover (not built yet) and possibly a front window rock guard... made by a very talented fibreglass maker and group of people.

upper out and lowering on lower section view from rear.

and all in similar characteristics to matchup the TV.

My goal is to be mobile for our May long weekend, as I sort through my pics, I will update as I go... feedback, comments, ideas and critics are all welcome..... for me this could not come together as well as it is, without some of the ideas, builds, wisdom, experience, and the sharing of knowledges that happen... Thanks.

Does it smell?

Not trying to be rude, just wondered if it smells strongly of fiberglass...
I've been around some newly build fiberglass items that had a strong odor, and would be concerned that the interior of a fiberglass box might be overwhelming?

Thanks, and nope, no smells once cured.. besides the maple inside has a nice fresh wood smell....pics of maple coming.

nice trailer, it had to be quite expensive to build the molds, are you planning on selling them?

The "silkstone" is the first cast out of the mold, I need to finish this one first, and maybe depending on thoughts and feedback I may, or just build a few customs for hobby and fun.... way to soon to tell, but of course the thought has crossed my mind...

I was just wondering... Is the trailer a pop-up, or are the top and bottom halves permanently fixed. If it's a pop-up, what do you do with the door when it is folded down? Any pictures of the fold down position (if applicable)?
