most of our recent storms had rain along with the snow. We did end up with a little gain.. but not much.. and it turned pretty icy.

I heard a few last night talking about being tired of winter. If you don't enjoy winter.. and just endure it ... this has to be a pretty hard place to live. :(

If your back was like mine right now, you would definitely NOT want any snow that had to be shoveled!! :(

Long story,

you ready,

here goes,

I was born a poor black man.....oops, wrong story

really, here goes,

I was born in Oklahoma, Dad was a baptist preacher, and we moved every time we heard "Gods call"(thats worst than an army brat). But most of my formative years were spent in and around Edwards,CO. We wound up back in Poteau,OK for the last half of high school(that sucked). So after that, I joined the army, did my time there, converted to catholic, and moved back to Colorado for a while. Then I got transfered on my job to of all places, Oklahoma. This time I met my wife, and have been stuck here since. It's not that bad of a place though. But the winters SUCK. As far as going back, I don't know. It's so expensive there, and so cheap here. Last year I finally convinced Kim to take a vaction out there. For the first 10 years or so of our marriage I tried to get her to go but she allways said "It's just trees and mountain, I've seen it all before." Then last summer we finally went camping in Durango, and she LOVED it. (I win) This year we will just be camping around here, and in December we will be going back to Colorado Springs for Christmas so my daughter can see what a 'white Christmas' is suppose to look like. Now my fingers are tired. :lol:

Boy, I was just looking back at the begining of our little thread here, we've had a lot of different visitors but you can sure tell who the core group is. We three should give ourselves pats on the backs. :lol:

As a matter of fact, I have a good snowblower (Not all that easy on the back, either), but you cannot use it for everything. :)

Why don't the three of you just concentrate your posting efforts in "the thread-killer thread" and help us achieve or new goal off 1,000 pages?

We have lot's of fun over there, and you'll be a part of a noble cause.

<cue patriotic music>

Someday, your great-grandchildren will read about "the thread," and their dad's can tell them that "great-grandpa helped build it."
