Hello from Leeds England

Hello everyone

I've been lurking here for a couple of months but have started my build so thought I better introduce myself.

I'm Nigel, married with 2 kids - one of each, IT teacher at a local high school - used to be a woodwork teacher - not sure how I changed from wood to IT.

Drive an old (30 years old) Land Rover (my baby) - wife and kids think I love it more than them.

Take Land Rover on off road weekends and take school kids on camping/walking weekends. Had enough of sleeping in a tent most weekends so decided to build a tear.

Managed to get hold of an old camping trailer 8' by 4' even had a cooker sink combo.

Will post pics of the build so far when I figure out how (I hate computers).

Pieface, as I'm just doing a 8' by 4' by 4' I have very little room for any shaping so just going with a very simple cut off corner at top/front.

I can see why so many of you build a 5' by 10' shape, lots more room inside.

Do you go to work? there must be hours of work gone into that We will have to have a camping weekend in summer with the uk tearjerkers, there would be 2, possibly 3 ttt`s I not a million miles away, I`m just outside Pontefract

Its the number of wood screws that I have used that has amazed me, most have been to hold the ply whilst the glue dries. What did we ever do before cordless screwdrivers?

Hi Classic Finn, I have had the pleasure of visiting your country three times, once to visit Santa for a day and twice for a week to visit Santa and ski. Your country is very cold! At least the three times I have been, got to below -35C the last time we went. All three times to Levi.

Hi There Nigel.. I reckon you flew over to Levi nonstop from England?
Yes indeed, it can get very cold there but you have to come here in summer then you can enjoy the beauty of it. We live in suthern Finland just outside of Helsinki.. It takes about 30 minutes to drive from the center. We are not originally from here though but 250 kilometers Northwest. Tammerfors or Tampere is the City .. Beautiful City srrounded by lakes on all sides.

This winter has been a very mild one with even warmer temps in Levi as to almost ruin the winter events. And the tour flights that land in Rovaniemi from other countries.

Hope we could meet with teardrops here one day. Good fishing near Levi as well in summer.

Great start Nigel. I gotta say though you have a lot of framing going on for a 8x4x4. I over did mine a bit too.
