Lady Tear Droppers, drop in and say "Hello"!

This is where the gals can have their very own discussions...

Lynn, I'll take some pics that afternoon and shoot them to you tomorrow. It was easier than I thought...I made the pockets last year from material I used to make the storage curtains from. I just made them like you would sew a pillowcase, except not as deep or wide. Then I velcroed them to the wall, but I didn't like the way the velcro held them up soooooo, here's where the grommets/snaps enter the picture. I put 3 on each and left the velcro on the pockets for extra support and they look good and work great. I keep a flashlight in each pocket for those late night potty calls.

Hey there gals, I haven't been getting on the forum much lately, so I am catching up on this thread. I hope everyone is doing well. Gaelen, hang in there, I'll be sending good energy your way.

I have to take and post some new pics, maybe after this coming weekend. I am hoping to get the first 1/8th layer of birch on the exterior of the tear this weekend. I am also hoping to finish up some of the electrical work. I wired up the fuse box this past weekend, and now I just need to run the lines under the tear. Although I am still a little ways off from the decorating aspect of the build, I would love to see the pics of those fabric pockets you made Rebecca. They sound really nice.

On another note, I have a huge stack of woodworking magazines (including Shop Notes, Woodsmith, American Woodworker, etc...) that I plan to finally let go of. I learned a LOT from reading through these mags, and I would love to pass them on to another woman that wants to learn more about woodworking. If any of you gals are interested in getting a hold of them let me know, and I'll send them your way. I am going to make a few copies of some of the projects that I still want to do in the future, but I plan to do that this weekend. I'll even pay the postage to send them to you. I just want to get them to someone that will enjoy them. They are full of great projects and woodworking tips.

I promise I'll post some pics of my progress this coming Sunday. ;)

Lynn and Amy:
I grabbed these from photobucket and the pics are HUGE (sorry). Anyway, here are the pockets I made along with a couple of other things. I put a link to Photo Bucket if you want to see more. The Binocs are an early birthday gift from the hubby.

Rebecca, very nice additions! I may have to copy the mag holder, it is very nice! Do the snaps hold it up well?

Yes, better than I expected. But I did leave the velcro on for extra measure. You won't have any problems with just the snaps...and their a 'snap' to install.

Okay gals.... I haven't posted in a while... but am looking forward to spring.. ... winter sucks mostly because of the bitter cold , yes we do have some of that in central OK and because it gets dark so early!!!

Have any of you ladies checked out www.sistersonthefly.com

I don't fish but if you look at this site, look at the photo gallery ... AWESOME!!!

They are going to be in s.e. Oklahoma at Beavers Bend around the beginning of March so I might go see them.

I have some fixing and finishing to do come about March , and looking at those sisters on the fly pics got me thinking about how I'm gonna finish the exterior on my Jewel Box... It's my perogative to change my mind, right?

Mandy, the mags are all yours if you like, just pm me with your address, and I will send them your way sometime next week. I hope they come in handy for you while you build your trailer.

Julie, I have always thought it would be so cool to learn to fly fish, it looks so incredibly elegant to me. Alas, I have way too many hobbies as it is. Heck, it has taken me forever and a year to get to where I am almost done building my trailer. Sure looks like a heck of a lot of fun though.

Julie:

Sisters On The Fly is pretty cool...I am sister #894. It is a sisterhood club that likes to fish, camp and do the 'cowgirl' things. They range in ages 17-80'ish and are from all over the U.S. When they do an outing, they do it with women only...leave the hubby, kids and pets home and they have a wonderful time.

This looks like so much fun but I just gotta have my dog when camping so I guess Kenny will have to teach me how to fly fish.
