TEXANS Vote for the Next TEXAS License Plate

Postby Todah Tear » Thu Feb 07, 2008 8:54 am

(I was going to put this in the OFF-TOPICS area. Since it just pertains to TEXANS, I decided to put this post in the South Central area.)

Over the last 30 years, designs for the state's general issue plate have ranged from a plain, white background to the flying Lone Star Flag.

In January of 2009, production of the next plate will begin. While I think the design should include a silhouette of a teardrop camper, that is not an option. However, the public will have the opportunity to vote for one of four new designs or to keep the current plate.

You’ve got one week from today, 04 Feb. Select this link to vote.

Practice voting before the Texas primary on March 4!

The only problem I can see is that none of the options have the caption "Don't Mess With Texas" 8)
"Follow me, I'm right behind you"

...an oversight indeed.

Todah, thinks for the reminder. We just voted. I guess we just have to get a plate holder with "Don't Mess With Texas" on the top.  Ed & Ruby

Already voted. And I can live without the "Don't mess with Texas" slogan. :)

* Ed, that's not a bad idea. You've just given the state a new money generating idea. 8)

* Caseydog, is it my imagination or did you just add your Tear in the background of your AVATAR?

Here's a slogan "Property Owners Should Dictate the Codes"! :x Its a bit long, but it expresses my thought.
