Long distance for the likes of me...and trust me, I'm having a hard enough time getting people to actually agree to this.....
Anyway, I want to do the NJ section of the AT.

That's already in my plans. ;)

I'm gonna try doing sections, Jersey seems do-able. I figure it will take a week to 10 days at the most.

Have you ever read the book, "A Walk in the Woods"
I highly recommend it.
In fact I bought it for my brother-in-law (does that count if I'm not really married?) for Christmas, and after he read it, I think I've got him talked into the trip.

Morning All,
Sorry I didn't get to join in yesterday afternoon, we lost our server, or something like that. I wasn't being rude or stuck up, just couldn't get on.

Anyways, I don't think I'll try the spandex to start off with. At this point I think there would be legal ramifacations.

Glenn, all the talk of hiking got me thinking of who you were talking about. At first I thought it was hiker chick but after some snooping I found the bike ride in question is located on this very thread.(dum dum dum) It was by SouthernGirl on page three about 4 or 5 post down. Ahhh thank you. 8)

Morning Lisa,
I've been to your NJ before, Fort Dix in the Army, and Newark more times than I care to remember when driving the aformentioned big rig. I sure am glad to know that there is more to your home state then those two holes. I've seen the AT on Discovery or Travel Channel or something, that looks like fun. But I'm like Scott, I think you'd find me passed out within 5 or 10 miles.

I was of course just kidding.. I would consider that a significant hike. :) I hike some but it is only day hikes. It does sound like fun.. as Aunti M says take pictures.
