Is it called the "Firewall" or is that the inside near the pedals or?

We were debating about how to go about smoothing this up once we remove all wires and crud hangin all over..

Let me find a pic..right back.

If it's the part between the windshield and the hood it's generally referred to as the cowl.

Is it called the "Firewall" or is that the inside near the pedals or?

The firewall is between the engine and inside of cab

With all the horns and ... is that the cowl then for the correct term in English? It will be like stripping a christmas tree..

How is that smoothed out there in the Land of Oldies..do they install a premade cover of sheet metal or to make it look smooth and not full of holes and crevices?

Look at all the horns.. :o
