Mine sits outside in my parents back yard, but I do have the custom cover for her.

Mine is sitting outside, on a weather test. After 1 year it is holding up quite well. This summer I think I will build it a carport. No make that a Tearport.

Here in the suburbs of Dallas, most garages are full of all the junk people here buy and stop using, but never get rid of. Meanwhile, the car they are making $600 per month payments on parks out in the weather. Go figure.

Being a car nut who works for a car magazine, I personally think that car abuse and neglect should be against the law, and in some cases, should be a capital offense.

However, my garage holds my car, and my TD.

Stuff I don't need generally doesn't get bought, and if it does, and I don't use it, it gets sold or donated to charity.

A garage is a terrible thing to waste.

We built a garage right after I bought my Camp-Inn with the purpose of storing the tear in it. And for a little while, that's where 'Minnie' lived. Then our son bought a 72 Chevelle. So now the left side is for the Chevelle and the right side holds 6 4-wheelers, and 1 motorcycle. And a lawn mower, and a motor ear-marked for a 50 chevy pick-up and....and....and...and....

So 'Minnie' now lives under a new carport. But the son is in the process of drawing up house plans, so I may get one side of the garage back. Yeah right.....

Me too. Although when I do get mine (and I keep insisting it's a "when" not an "if") it will end up living in a mini storage garage since I live in an apartment building with only one parking space available per unit. The storage place I already use for the rest of my things only has unheated garage-type units...but this is Georgia, after all, so I'm not worried about that.

I've measured it three times, and it's still three inches too TALL for the overhang on my shared carport. So the Sunspot spent part of the summer in my sister and soon-to-be BIL's back field (where I camped a few nights!), and then I moved it over to my house, to the extra parking lot on the property where we're allowed to park guests' vehicles and campers.

The plan was to share a heated garage for the winter--bartered some dog training to a guy for the space. Then he needed to store his MIL's car, so he asked could he pay me cash instead. Um, cash? Sure.

Then before I could find another indoor storage space, life (and CNY weather) intervened. So she's spent a cold CNY winter getting 'weather tested.' I have to spend an extended time in NYC after Easter, so I'm making calls now to see where I can have some electrical work done (might as well put my down time to good use). There's a local RV shop nearby that would do the work I couldn't do in the snow, and store her while I'm out of commission, so if that fits into his schedule, she'll be vacationing at camp B&K RV Service and when I come home, I'll pick her up with new tires, fresh bearing packs, and new 12V wiring. Fingers crossed.

Meanwhile, through rain, sleet, ice and a lot of snow, the Sun Spot has been absolutely weathertight.

Just 3 inches? You may be able to flatten the tires to get under the overhang. Just don't store it with flat tires or it could damage the tires. Rolling it with flattened tires isn't good for the tires, but you are probably only moving it 20ft so that should be OK..

I'm a little luckier, I have a fairly good size area on the side of my house to put my "toys", not enclosed, but I have a canopy over it. btw, do you know how far Cumming
is from Atlanta, I have a brother that lives there.

For about 30 buck I bought a xl car cover for the Box Kite it is to big one way and a little short the other.

I did just figure out that it would fit in the garage but that is where the wife puts the Prius and it has a little more worth.

I really like the custom Red one that Bill has.
