Hello From The Frozen Northwoods

Postby xccelagator » Sun Feb 24, 2008 8:32 pm

Newbie here, but long time drooler of Teardrops!! The family and I have been pop-upers and the past couple of years we owned a old class B RV. I rebuilt a $50 basket-case 74' Jayco to a great pop-up. We decided to sell the RV off and the pop-up. So she....I mean we want to build a teardrop. Besides building I like the set-up and teardown times reduced!!!!

Image to the playground Dan and family. Building is the best way to get exactly what you want. Remember to enjoy the process and let her have at it. And be really sure to take lots of :pictures: :pictures: :pictures: Keeps the bubble oil level. ;)

Hi Dan,

Welcome to the forum! What part of the "Northwoods of Wisconsin" are you from? I grew up in the area, but am in the not-so-frozen-but-lots-of-snow of Utah now. I still have a sister in Hayward and aunt and uncle in Cable, so we get back to the area every few years. Next time will be with our teardrop!

Have fun with your build!

Jeanette hey neighbor!! LOL We live in Washburn. Almost as far north as you can get! I am a Florida Native, hence the name. A lovely Goddess lured me northward and loving it!! Or maybe it could be the spell? LOL

Welcome Dan! I used to live in Washburn! Right behind SuperAmerica! I was the Bayfield County Health Inspector for a few years.

Down between Appleton and Two Rivers now.

Welcome!

Welcome to the place where you will find more TD build info than anywhere on the web. I suggest that you do contact some of your fellow Badger State teardroppers and check out their rigs. A visual of what you are about to build is worth a thousand words. Better yet, post a note on the General Discussion section and find out where they are and where you can attend a mid-west Gathering of tears. Good luck on your build, take lots of pics, post em and get ready to answer a ton of questions when you start camping with the "normal" camping enthusiasts.
Roly, basking at last in the So Cal sun, now where's that varnish brush?
