Jobless.......

Postby cguardsman » Wed Feb 27, 2008 9:36 pm

in a bad economy. My bil let me go today i ran a security alarm company for him and we have been struggling but not growing fast enough. His other company became strapped for cash due to some bad decisions by the Operations/Sales manager and so I lost out as he is also partners with my bil in the alarm business.. At this point i really don't know what to think except more than a little betrayed. I left a job i had for 19 years 3 years ago to come run this company for him because he couldn't run both and keep track of everything. in that time i saw his partner make one bad decision after another and now the company is on the brink of going under. i tried to help my bil see the light with this guy but in the end i am the odd guy out i guess please pray for me as i really need to find something else comparable...sorry for the sob story but i needed to get it out....

Craig we will definitely pray for you a better job. Remember, while you are looking to take some time to enjoy your family. I know if you were managing anything you probably didn't have a lot of extra time. ;)

Craig...sorry to hear of your situation. As a geologist, I had to reinvent myself a number of times when the exploration industry cratered. What about going to the competition? Wishing you the best. Doug

If Ira can find a better job so can you. Now have a Bud then tomorrow start looking.

Good luck on this new chapter in your life. Dan

Craig,

A number of us have seen that happen recently, myself included. There's not a whole lot of work out there, but there is some. Best wishes in finding your new job. It may take a while... take the time to regroup and get strong.

A good web site, a few business cards, and the experience you have - YOU are the competition. I have had to start over many times over - now I am the master of my destiny.

Add us to those praying for you. I know it's tough now but I believe something better will come along. I also agree with becoming the competition. :o
