Crank Pulley Needed

Postby Gage » Thu Feb 28, 2008 12:26 am

Any one have a single grove crank pulley for a 352 Ford FE engine. You know the one that bolts to the existing crank pulley to make a two grove pulley. 3 bolt pattern with about a 1" hole in the center.

This is the off topic section, isn't it?

Any early FE engine should be the same.

Does your dampener have a V groove cast into it? If not, I believe March (http://www.marchperf.com) makes a 2 groove for the FE series motors. We just built a couple of 427 FE motors and used March for all the pulleys.

I'll check my supply of spare parts tomorrow too. Can't remember what's out there.

It's actually a 332 block & crank, that came out of the 59 wagon. I picked up a two grove that was suppose to work but won't. Here's a pic of one I missed on ebay but is what I need. Thanks for all the help. Meanwhile, I'll also check with March and see what they have.

Need two groves because one belt will run the alternator and one to run the power steering pump. Work on the 56' if any one is interested is:
-Engine has been completely mocked up with power steering pump and alternator, and has been painted.
-Duel master cylinder and brake booster installed and remote reservoir .
-New Toyota power steering box installed.
-Engine cross member (motor mounts) installed and also new transmission cross member installed. Had to do that because of the different bell housing than what was on the 292

I'll have to check to be sure tomorrow. I'm doing the truck at a friends house because I'm also trying to build a teardrop in my garage. :?

You could always adapt something to fit. Can help if need be.

Cheers,

Gus

Gage,

I found a cast iron pulley but I think it's the same as you already have.
I have a couple other sources to check if you don't have any luck finding one soon. I'll keep looking.

Can you pm me a picture of it? The one that's on the engine is part of the dampener/harmonic balancer. The one that is pictured above is like what I'm looking for or one close to it.

I may end up making a spacer plate and try and use the two grove I have.

Gage,

I just finished putting a coat of oil on that cast iron pulley, it's going in the oven for seasoning tonight and I should have it in the mail for you in the next couple days. 8)
