Try Pigeon Forge TN, Its like branson on crack. Beautiful country and lots to do. Probably pretty close to the same distance as branson, just in the other direction.

If you've never been to Queen Wilhemina State Park, you're missing out a real treat - Every Arkansas resident owes him/herself a 3 day weekend up there. Make reservsations . . . . it fills up fast in the summertime, because it's about 20 degrees cooler up there than anywhere else in the state - The scenery is really spectacular too

Does your daughter swim. Any motel with a pool will work in a pinch. Go South and find a zoo to visit also.

How about the Hot Springs area? It's beautiful down there, and enough stuff to do for a couple of days. Everyone should go to the Buckstaff Spa for a pedicure, even guys. (You should have seen my dad and son. We told my son to pick out what color of polish he wanted. The look on his face was priceless!) There's a little theater show on Main Street called the Bath House Show. It's lots of fun. Comedy and music. You should have a great time.

Miriam kinda touched on it, but I think Crater of Diamonds State Park, in Murfreesboro, Arkansas, sounds to me like it would be fun. Plus you get to keep what you find.

Who knows, you might find a large diamond. And have fun at the same time.

How about one of the CCC cabins at Devils Den State park. Nice hiking and a good brewpub in Fayetteville.

Queen Wilhelmina park would be my first choice, followed by Beavers Bend if you don't mind venturing into Oklahoma. The Crater of Diamonds park is awesome as well.

For you people in that area, if you ever want to check out some really nice cars pop into Broken Bow, Oklahoma & check out the museum behind the McCurtain County Theater. It's owned by a guy named Phil, and he's got an awesome collection of stuff.

In the summer Hot Springs has a lot of activities for families with young ones. Magic Springs amusement/water park. Mid America museum for kids, I Q Zoo. Alligator Farm. (Ripley's Believe It or Not", Drive up the mountain and go up the tower for the view. Lots of places on Lake Hamilton/Lake Catherine with any type of boat rental you can imagine. Wife will love the spas.

If camping you could visit Lake Greeson, Kirby Landing campground. Lot to do for kids and Crater Of Diamonds state park is a reasonable distance.

Petit Jean State Park has lots of hiking trails and the Museum of Automobiles.

Mountain View has a lot of attractions and great music.
