I know we all, and I do too ... want to visit and relax... but Idabel is 17 miles south and I think I might want to drive down after Sat am breakfast and see a little of the Dogwood Days festival .. anybody else interested?

Dogwood Days is a springtime festival celebrating the beautiful blooms of the thousands of Dogwood Trees in the Idabel area. This festival is held the first Friday and Saturday in April. The weekend festivities include a 5k Run/Walk, Volleyball Tournament, Easter Eggstravaganza, Barbecue Cook-off, retail sidewalk sales, food vendors, craft vendors, children's games, Dance Contest, Country Showdown, RV and Boat Show. Contact the Idabel Chamber of Commerce at 580-286-3305.

there are pictures at http://www.idabelchamber.com/events_annual.html but it gives 2007 dates and info .

I just took the hatch off of Todah, so I have got to get something on it fast!

Julie, I'll bring a fruit salad for breakfast (bananas, melon, etc) and some bowls. I can also bring my 50 cup coffee maker for those of use who need hot water for oatmeal and/or decaf coffee.

Linda
I may have missed it, but how many teardrops are we allowed at Beavers Bend? Total
As I understand there are 11 large sites. 11X2=22 How many singles? Plus tents allowed on singles along with a teardrop?

Woody, your group is shrinking huh?

Randy, there are 30 camp sites with 11 of them being long for large rv's, these are the ones that we can use to double up if necessary.
Each site is allowed a tent for $8 per night unless it is occupied by children only under the age of 18. If it is children only there is no charge, if a tent is only used for changing clothes then there is no charge for it either.
So far we have Catossa Grani (Gene and Betty) sharing a site with their son Jon. Thank you very much guys.....

Hi Linda,
Seems peoples plans change. At least we will have the whole circle for our group. I'm ready to go now.

I'll be coming from Kansas City. Could someone post complete road instructions on how to get where we're camping. I lost my compass! LOL Thanks. FL (ie: highways, turnoff's, etc.)

Julie - I love to play hearts. Thanks for reminding me about the beautiful dogwoods; if I begin my antihistamines before I get there, maybe I can avoid the allegic symptom mess... :(

You can get pretty good maps with directions here:

Don't use Yahoo Maps though, IMHO it's crap.

Fire Line here is a link with complete driving directions to the location where the trailer will be camping LINK HERE from Google Maps. You might want to save it in your Favorites for the future trips. You can check Satilite Maps against the drawn map to check correctness of the map and to make sure there is a road where there one is shown on a map.

Thanks Woody! We haven't had a chance to take the trailer out since LCGII. It will be great to see everyone again!
