Oh yeah... I've known a few engineers that couldn't build squat! And, even more architects.

That's just about every one I ever worked with!! And most of them have no real understanding of how something is actually built or even if it can be.

I'm a mechanic (A&P) and an engineer (aeronautical) but can't seem to get these daggone computers here at work to download the test. Now where's the punch card machine so I can change this program. Syntax error, syntax error.

Hate to resurect a dead thread, but I had to take a test similar to this when I applied for a job just yesterday. Remembered this thread and just took it here and got 68. Lets hope I did better on the one for the job. This was just one part of the test. Did pretty well on the math part(wasn't sure if I was allowed to use the scratch pad and pen laying there, so I did it in my head), second part had to identify which part or parts where defective(bombed that part). Third part had pictures of different shaped blocks with sides marked with letters and had to identify how they went together(think I did ok on that part). Fourth part was disagree/agree, mostly on drug use and policy(some sort of psychological evaluation?). And then the engineering type test.
If I could shut my brain off, I could save myself alot of time, money and effort.

glad you bumped it up. I missed this one first time around.

Got 88%, did not do quite as well as others. But then I've always been the one doing the work, not the engineering.........
