Rate here in Ut. Vary State Parks Can be up to $35.00 National Forest are around $12 to $16 BLM campsites are about the same. Something like 60% of Ut. is BLM lands and you can camp anywhere for free, except ofcourse the campsites. I guess its the fee for the Can. Jim G

Racl rates?

Postby Pdbeta » Fri Mar 14, 2008 1:50 pm

For the 2007 season here in NJ we pay about $20.00 per nite, in the State run CG no elec nor water on site. Private CG in/around Atlantic City(beach/gambling) run up to $50.00 per(incl tax) Full service sites slightly more.
XC last year we paid as little as $10.00 in some midwest county CG and as much as $48.00 + tx in Glacier NP & Graceland area of Memphis in KOA or private CG.
In the NP's it ran as low as $15.00 per (no hooks) to $25.00 per. Some were full up and others nearly empty? Traffic last summer(August) was light west of Chi along the Northern route of NP's.

Locally here (NJ) with the now annual budget mess, I expect NJ fee's to increase and service to decrease.

Randy, Linn Valley is the easiest park to get to from 69 highway. It is literally just off the road.

On 71 highway there is Ballards just E. of Joplin and Big Red barn in Carthage. Big Red Barn is an RV park and Ballards might be full this time of year. I posted the information in N. Central I think.

PS---Gunn Park in Ft. Scott on Highway 69 is a beautiful place to stay and is right in Ft. Scott. The trolley even comes through. $8 a night with electric.

The state parks up here in Washington aren't cheap, so I have been looking for free campgrounds

Unfortunately not all of Ray's sites are accurate. Here is a map of the lake Wenatchee area: http://smg.photobucket.com/albums/v443/dreadcptflint/random%20pictures/camping/?action=view&current=04_25_0.jpg

I can say that I have been to every site there and have camped in most of the free ones. I can say that Thesus Creek has been decomissioned, Deep Creek is gone and Deer Creek has been looted. There was talk about decomissioning Soda Springs (two years ago) however it is still there as of last season.

I am hoping to do some research on some of the southern sites (near Cle Elem) and will definitely be headed into Okanogan county this year. It depends on what you are looking for in camping, if I can be of any help then let me know.
The quickest way to find me is on my business site. Yes, I do answer questions and provide quotes for free. Find me at: http://www.wenatcheefarmers.com

DreadCptFlint, I realized after I sent my response that you had referred to the Ray's Guides as well. It is definitely good to know the inaccuracies, since I would hate to plan on going to a particular site only to realize when I get there that it has been closed. If you come across any other inaccuracies please let me know, and I will do the same.
