:o I wonder if the wind will get under that and be a problem. It certainly has all the amenities.

That used to be a TRV  I loved mine when I had one, but its a gas mileage killer on a vehicle that doesnt get great gas mileage right off the bat.

If it comes with the trailer you could build a nice camper from all the systems in the truck camper, make it lower profile and make better use of the trailer platform on which it rests. It might make a great project for a guy with time and a plan.

I think $1100 for an old truck camper stuck on a utility trailer is a bit much. But, for every seller there is a buyer.

If you need a slide-in truck camper one of the family has or had one for sale. Less than half that. It is an Idle Times Cowboy camper. I have pictures and a contact number. Near Alma, Arkansas area. If you want to PM me about it. You will have enough left over to buy a HF or RED Trailer to put it on.

I hope I did not do something wrong. Just trying to help out. I borrowed such a contraption from a family member. I have pulled it behind my truck on trailer. Wow it would have been better mounted in the truck bed. BIG wind resistance with it on the trailer like pulling a parachute. When he came by to pick it up to take it back home with him. He had a hard time pulling it home with the truck the camper was normally mounted in but was on the trailer instead. He said he did not know how I was even able to pull it at all with a four cylinder truck and he had a 4 x4 - 5.9 diesel 3/4 ton GMC.

That is why I started looking at TTT and TearDrops.

Pat

Curious word " JUNK" the folks with less imagination will see what it was, yet there are others that can see what it could be. Let's inventory the salvaged junk at used prices.....

A good solid utility trailer $500 - $700
A RV stool with holding tank $ 300 ( I'm guessing)
a fridge $175
A propane stove $150
2 20 gallon propane tanks $40
pottable water storage tank $50
a/c unit $400.00
Propane furnace with thermostat $400
mattresses with covers $50 - $75 total
Cabinets and formica table top $75 to $150
electrical boxes, wire ,possible 120 to 12v converter, all lighting fixtures
$200 to $300
Locks, catches ,doors ,and salvage windows $150
clearance lights 10 to 12 a $3 $30

Middle of the guess total $2735.00

Ya got parts to build what ya want and a trailer to build it on or trade down with someone that wants a bigger one.

 Boyhenry, you have greatly over priced a lot of those items.

But more importantly you left out the price of windows. Might be able to recoop some of the cost by selling some of the stuff.

There is also the salvage value of the alum. if it is alum. Have you seen the price lately? 8)

Mind You I am not pushing this but there are some redeeming qualities.

I'm a construction estimator that's my job to over price things then leave out things so the estimate is still in the ball park. :D

O.K. just put a "Vee" nose on it with a couple sheets of plywood to get some aerodynamics and we're there with minimal effort. :?
