Hi Linda,

I might be interested in the Black Tear. What is the skin material? Aluminum or fiberglass? Also, do you have an approximate weight?

Thanks,

Deserthawk

I'd buy it if I didn't already have a teardrop. It's a good looking, well built trailer that will be around when many others will be long gone! Someone's going to get a really nice trailer!

Fireant,

Thank you for your wonderful comment. I'll pas it along to Charles.

You can see pics of the "slide out" by clicking on our 'www' page below this message.

It will take you to our photo bucket albums. When you get there look to the left and you will see albums for the "Coca Cola Teardrop" and the "Black Teardrop with flames" . You should be able to view them.

By the way, where are you located? close enough to come take a look?
Welcome to the forum...........

Thanks again,
Linda

That's amazing! I want to see how it sets up. Is it a 2 person job? Charles does a wonderful job.

My husband George and I live in Friendswood TX, south of Houston. Our son and daughter-in-law live in Nacogdoches and our daughter lives in Dallas area.

I am semi-retired. I thought the teardrop was a perfect project. We have had tents, covered pickup, cabover and pop-up. I like the idea of being able to just get out and fix lunch and access to the sleeping area without setting anything up.

I do genealogy and want to travel to different area to do research. I also enjoy photography.

fireaunt,
You need to pay a visit to your son in Nacogdoches and swing by our place and check out the slide out.
We live in Angelina County just outside of Lufkin, (I usually tell folks I live in Lufkin). We are 20 minutes from the west side of the loop in Nacogdoches.
Plan a trip up this way and pm us and I'll give you our phone numbers so you can call ahead and make sure we will be home.
We would love to have you visit.

That isn't far from my son. Are there campgrounds close by that you like? It's not long before the dogwood, redbuds and azaleas bloom. I'd like to get up to meet you. Thanks, Marilyn

I am in the market for a TD and must confess, your black flamed model is superb! The flame inside wood panels, wow! Every time I find a reasonably priced TD on this firum, however, it's so far away. I am in Illinois. Unfortunately, my job does not permit me much time off to travel to pick up a TD, camper. I wish we lived closer together. CD1
