New From Mo.

Postby Mighty Mouse » Sat Mar 22, 2008 2:23 am

Hi from MO. Thought I'd try to introduce us since I've been lurking about for 9 months or so and finally get to start on our tear drop. :D Im Bud and the smarter half is Kathy. We live outsde of Kansas City Mo. We have been campers since childhood and thats a long long time. Last year we traded in the big van for a HHR Panel truck and as this will be our TV we knew we would have to give up our big tent trailer. Finally sold it this week and now can start on a tear drop. We are some what crazy so we think this will suit us just fine. I go to school in the day and work nights so progress will be slow but want to be campable by mid July for a vacation. With my wierd hours I only get to look at this site late at night or on weekends and will be building on weekends in between working on our old house. I'll soon have a lot of questions and will post pics when I actually get started if I figure out how to get an album started.

Welcome to the forum Bud. We live in the sister city to Raymore, Rayville. I say that because half the time when I tell people in KC that I live in Rayville they say " OH that's south of town. Right?" But we're north east. Anyway hope to see you at some gathering's soon.

Hi Bud,

Welcome to you and Kathy. Glad you decided to break the ice. I lurked here for about a year before joining in the fun. Have you decided on what type of tear drop you're going to build?

Thanks for all the warm welcomes. Haven't started building yet just been planning and finally sold the camper so can start. I planned on a Generic Benroy because it fit the shape of the HHR and has a lot of usable space options but now kathy is leaning towards a Cub or Grumman because "Thier Cute". Oh well we will decide in a week or two and start to gather materials. So many questions right now , to use our tsc 4x8 or buy a new 5x8 from redline, brakes or no. Well you have all been thre so you understand. Anyway thanks and I have already found a ton of information and ideas.
