No - The greatest movie line ever was spoken by Willie Nelson in the Electic Horseman

I won't quote it here (in mixed company) but lots of you know the one I mean - I think the only reason it made it past the censors in a PG rated movie was that the old fuddie-duddies didn't have a clue what he was talking about ;)

Yes, these are way better.

The Bob Hope line from the OP is not even in my top 100.

It was funny, the first couple of times I saw it, but it lost it's appeal once I had seen it posted about a zillion times on forums by people who have an agenda to serve -- like this thread.

I also like the one from Office Space...

Bob Porter: Looks like you've been missing a lot of work lately.
Peter Gibbons: I wouldn't say I've been MISSING it, Bob.

CD, I can't help but chuckle at the irony of you making the statement in blue above.

I don’t have an agenda… I just thought it was funny. The times change and so do what the political parties stand for. The reason I thought it was funny because this is exactly what the Democrats are and have been saying about the Republicans… they blindly voted for Bush and head nod on everything he says… that’s what caught me.

I did vote for Bush because Gore told too many obvious lies in his campaign. I voted Bush again because Kerry just didn’t seem to be in touch with the common man.

Now, well I’ll have to vote for McCain. Why, as always because he “seems” to be the best of what we have to choose from.
I have met, and talked to Clinton one on one. And she is very fake, and it seemed to me she had a lot of anger just under the surface. I think she will say or do anything to reach her goal and then once there do what ever she wants ((that sound familiar? – if only we knew then what we know now)) Obama had stated early on that he believed that America should be gun free. Now he has a blurb on his site that says he supports hunters and target shooters… I know that’s just a single issue, but it is a telling one. If he can’t trust me with a gun to protect my family, how can I trust him with an Army to protect my Country?

Well… so I guess you were right, there is an agenda. But I didn’t start it out that way, I just thought it was ironic how the parties have changed rolls.

Vote your heart and hope for the best, that’s all any of us can do.

My favorite was from the original King Kong. When the Chief on "Skull Island" first saw Fay Wray he yelled "Look at the golden woman".

To which Bruce Cabot replied

"Yea, I guess Blonds are pretty scarce around here"

IMHO, Casablanca has more great lines than any other film ever made.

“Here's looking at you, kid.”

"I don't mind a parasite. I object to a cut-rate one."

"I stick my neck out for nobody."

"Of all the gin joints in all the world, she walks in to mine."

"Well there are certain sections of New York, Major, that I wouldn't advise you to try to invade."

"We musn't underestimate American blundering. I was with them when they blundered into Berlin in 1918."

"Oh, he's just like any other man, only more so."

"I saved my first drink to have with you."

"I heard a story once - as a matter of fact, I've heard a lot of stories in my time. They went along with the sound of a tinny piano playing in the parlor downstairs. "Mister, I met a man once when I was a kid," it always began..."

"I am shocked - shocked! - to find that gambling is going on in here!"

"Round up the usual suspects."

“I'm no good at being noble, but it doesn't take much to see that the problems of three little people don't amount to a hill of beans in this crazy world. Someday you'll understand that."

"We'll always have Paris."

"Louis, I think this is the beginning of a beautiful friendship."

And of course, the oft misquoted: "Play it once, Sam. For old times' sake."

But Dubya told us we needed to 'elect an oilman so he can go over there and jawbone with the Saudis and get them to lower the price of oil'

He said that during his 2000 campaign when the price of crude was under $30 - When it went over $100 in '08, he made his first trip to Saudi Arabia . . . . now we just have to wait and see how much his 'jawboning' will save us - I already know what his election has cost us

You wouldnt be in Iraq now Sergeant Hall of the popular vote had prevailed in 2000 and Gore had been elected - We would have saved 4,000+ lives and when it's all said and done, about 8 or 10 trillion dollars - Enough to have 'fixed' social security and given healthcare to every American . . . . something George tells us we can't afford
