Around here, people are protective of their finds. If they found some they are tight lipped about it to protect their supply. Same goes for ginsing

some advice

Postby reddz » Sun Apr 06, 2008 1:52 pm

Just read another article last night about morels. Been interested in hunting them for a while. Mom and her father were mushroom growers and always said don't eat wild ones. Can any one recommend a good guide? Thanks.

I've never gone morel hunting. But we have relatives in Görlitz from whom we get dried morells. We typically use them in Wild Mushroom Fettucine. Yummmmmm... delicous.

You might call your wildlife dept. and see if they have a group that will identify them for you. When I lived in Norway mushroom hunting was the in thing and they had a place to take them. I guess they have a lot of false Morels.

Just like a while ago, I said that I was "Ack" instead of "Back" Had alot of comments on that one.

;) :applause: it's a typing thing. I finally put a Google tool bar on. It checks it as you type. Annoying really but keeps it good, most of the time.

Was just teasin. :R
