I have several movie choices for the Friday/Saturday movie night for the "Brown County Blowout" gathering May 16-18.

I just got a new copy of "20,000 leagues Under the Sea". Also an H.G Wells classic- "The Time Machine" as well as many other titles to choose from.

I think I'll do a "show of hands" vote on movie night to get a spontaneous opinion as to the movie of choice.

Later post will show a big list of optional movie titles to give you something to think about.

Get ready to have a good time. :applause:

Has anyone made a press statement about the Brown County Gathering?---with this many people showing up it seems that it could be the beginning of a movement--one that might be of interest to some local news/advertising interests. I personally have no connections but it might be opportune to contact a Bloomington & Columbus (Indiana) Newspapers and possibly some area TV stations (Indianapolis, Cincinnati, Louisville).

Link them to this page and possibly appeal to a Saturday showing for a Sunday 'feel good' feature.

Just a late/early morning thought.

Here's what I sent and the contacts [email protected]~~~~ [email protected][email protected].

Here is the one I sent to Across Indiana others are similar.

I have loved every episode of Across Indiana but never thought I'd be writting you.
I have been involved in a strange little hobby that is growing daily. The world of Teardrop trailers. We will have a collection of commecial and home built trailers that will gather in Brown County May 16th thru the 18th. To date we have 26 confirmed reservations and are hopeing for 35 to 38 total. We will be in the buffalo ridge electric camp area of the Brown County State park. We feel our little hobby may be of interest to many of your viewers. For a little research background I would recommend the web site "Teardrops and tiny trailers" this will give a peak into this mini camping experience. For questions I can be reached at 765-538-2580. I know it take a month or so to plan coverage of these types of events and we hope we would be of interest to your viewers. Thank you for any concideration.

Please second this info to them as I have gotten NO response to date. Another nudge couldn't hurt. The Indianapolis Star and the Louisville Courier Journal and The Columbus Republic would be a possibility also.

Let me know your list as well and I will make a second contact about a week out. I would sure like to see our little group get some news exposure.

I was thinking of doing just that, and including a breif history about Teardrops, sort of a way to let them know they are part of history coming back.
I'd love to see Across Indiana because that would get replayed more than the one story. so everytime it did it would give us a little

Well back to work :(

Just got home from Florida after a week of cleaning out Mom's house after moving her to an assisted living home. Catching up on the thread I read that Bob is planning a pork loin for the pot luck Saturday. That makes 2 of us. I'm planning on doing a Jamacian Jerk pork loin. The marinade could be categorized as nuclear waste as it could melt your tongue. Fear not though, in the cooking process it all mellows out and is quite good. :awesome: Sounds like there should be plenty of pork at the gaterering. No pun intended.

Scott, Please tell me that many more people have ordered trading cards. How many are we up to?

Anyone know where to get wood near Brown County SP? I'm in one of those quarantened counties and can't bring any. Most of my cooking will require a fire.

Cindi & I are looking forward to seeing everyone. 18 days to go!

:( nope there's 5 of us so far, I think people will see them and wish they had when they don't have any to trade with us.
If anyone else wants a personalized card for there Tear Or Camper just send me an email or PM and I'll get you the details, and I can just bring them to the gathering for you.

I plan to bring a bunch as I'll be moving and won't need the stack I have out back but don't want to loose it.
Are you coming down St Rd 9 by chance on your way to Brown County your welcome to take as much as you want. If not I'll have some your welcome to have. I'm gonna pull the back seat out of the van and put what I can carry in there.

Scott, I can help get rid of the pile if you need help. I'll be coming through Greenfield on Thursday.

Let me know what you think.

This isn't a quarantined area is it?

That would be fine it's not a super big stack but If I can clean it out and not have it go to waste that would be great.
Yes I'm in a clean county

I'll have to check that out,

My deep fried penut butter and jelly, and resses cups failed miserably, they blew up when the hit the oil
But I've got another idea on the PB&J

Even the 12 year old loved the Scoth egss though the 4 year olds just picked at them and the wife refuses to even try them, of coarse she doesn't like hardboiled eggs in any form.
