Jim Dandy Sportsman for sale **SOLD, BABY!!**

Well, she's done!! It's taken 15 1/2 months to get to this point and have had good and bad times with this build. I really like the design and want to thank Andrew for the plans and his words of encouragment. I really want to thank Mike S. for this wonderful site he built and maintains. This site has changed my life and would have never met such a fine group of people without it. I've been glad to travel the country and see such beautiful places and meet such great camping buddies.

Alright, alright, alright.......... with all that being said, here it is.

*Body is 62" wide and 96" long (5X8).
*625lbs. empty weight.
*Removable tongue(48" long)
*Monroe shocks
*120V outlets
*13" tires
*Asking price is $3,500 USD

This is a gently used teardrop with 2,260 miles. It's been to three gatherings (Minden '07, LCG II, Watkins Mill 2008) with no problems at all. No mattress or appliances included. If you have any questions, want to look at it in person or need more pics, email me at [email protected] .

Jeff,

Are you sure that's all you want? You have built one unique and beautiful teardrop. I sure enjoyed watching as you progressed through the build. Thanks for sharing it has been most interesting.

Someone better buy it quick before you come to your senses and raise the price.

I think that's true but it's real hard to breathe with your face squashed up against the ceiling.

It's beautiful. Did you do the little cabnets up front like the design? It may be an optical illusion but you look like you built a hollow space up front.

(I am still trying to wrap my head around this model.)

Thanks 'Flint, I didn't like a dropdown front that the original design had and didn't want to waste the space so I made two lids, one on each side, to use as storage. Here's a pic that kind of shows what I did..

Jeff,

You did an absolutely beautiful job! I hope that you get every penny that you wanted and more from the sale!

Jeff,
OK, very clever. How big of space is that? Can you fit a cooler in there?

I think it's about 18" high, about 16" deep and goes the width of the tear. A small cooler would fit in there but I don't think the lid of it would open.

Well, I've reduced the price of the Jim Dandy and has been slashed from $5500 to $3,500 in an attempt to get it out of the driveway.

Jeff,
Why are you selling? Do you still have a camper or are you getting out?

My plan all along was to build this to sell so I could possibly make some money on it and build another camper down the road.

Do you still have a camper or are you getting out?

I have 1.5 campers as we speak. My girlfriend and I are building a Widget and I have another one that's been "done" for about 3 years.

Am I getting out............. HELLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL NOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!! Can't do it, man.
