Marilyn they are decals. We just stuck them on. I ordered from DecalZone.com Lots to choose from and they worked great

I can understand the treatments can be rough. I go in for chemo every 2 weeks. The chemo does make me feel lousy, but the good side effects is I am able to breath a lot better now and no more breathing pains and no more pains in the liver. So the chemo is helping me, but I feel like crap when I get the chemo treatments. I keep slugging along. :)

Hi joanne,I'm new to the site and teardrops, but I want to build a td with tire like the ones, you have. So what is the consideration, you need a torsion axle? and what else?

I just wanted to start a thread where we could all "check in" and say Hi to each other.

So all you teardrop ladies, drop a note and say hello. Post a picture of your tear if you have one. If not, tell us a little about your dream tear.

Here's a few pics of the soon-to-be-finished Desert Dawg.

I am really impressed at the number of ladies building their own trailers, or participating in the design and construction process to the extent of their abilities.

Hi Arlene,

You might want to PM Joanne. Also check out her build site...she has a lot of good information.

why, celebrating cinco de mayo, of course!

No sooner did I say 'I'm back' than I spiked a fever and landed back in hospital again for another 10 days. You know you've been in too long when an entire residents' rotation finishes and a new crop starts and YOU'RE STILL THERE!

Eunice, sorry to hear about your dad, and Arthur--hang in, the chemo does eventually end (says the veteran of four and soon-to-be five chemo regimens.)

Anyway, I can't tell you all how great it feels to be 'back in the world,' even if I'm confined to NYC for another 10 days. The weather is great and I want to be home, polishing up the Sunspot. I have to find out how long the 'no lifting over 10 lbs' ban is in effect (heck, I think my *purse* might weigh 10 lbs, and I know my typical grocery bag does!) But I want to be stronger and get outside and start planning some close-to-home summer trips!

Hi Gaelen,
Ah Darn it they just won't let you out to play. Well take this time to plan a really great camp out in the near future. At least by then the weather will be really nice and warm and you can set out in a hammock under a shady tree sipping something cool to drink. Still keeping you in my prayers.

Hi Mandy:

Camping was great! Lynn and Paul were there with the 'Inkwell', which looks fantastic...Steve and Kim, who planned the trip, were there with their beautiful Teardrop and he was just the best host - he even made all of us mama's and non-mama's, Crab Quiche and Mimossa's for a pre-Mother's Day brunch on Saturday...MK and her daddy, Mr. Billy were there with her equally beautiful Teardrop. AND, she brought the paddle!!! But, happy to say no one got a spanking. She was very kind...I wasn't. My friend, Fran, who camped with me, gave me one of those bug zappers that look like a small tennis racket...well...let's say I didn't force anyone to touch it but I sorta told them it didn't hurt. Ok, I lied a little. Anyway, it was funny as hell.

All in all, we had a great time.

I still have the mark on my knee...it didn't hurt much but it does burn a bit.

We had a great time. I finally got to see Mary K's teardrop and she did a wonderful job. Becca's made a few modifications to her tear and I got to see her sink, great job.

Yes, Steve's teardrop was painted by an artist. The price was a bit higher than Steve & Kim wanted to put out. But they said it looked great.

It was nice meeting Mary's dad, Billy, and Becca's friends. One was a camper the other found the entire experience interesting. I think that's the best one word description of her feelings, Becca probably has a better word for it. Fran found it fascinating that we (us from the forum) treated each other like long lost family. The forum is great for that.

Hi Arlene!

Sorry I'm so late getting back with you.

I started with a boat trailer so most of my design revolved around those parameters. The width was already set, so I chose to build it 10' long so I could have a nice big galley. My axle is a spring type rather than a torsion. My friend Kelly is building with a torsion and I think it's a good choice if your trailer is going to be kept on-road.

My website has a LOT of photos and information about my build. Feel free to ask any questions you might have.
