Aluminum skin question

Postby planovet » Thu May 01, 2008 9:18 pm

I'm waiting for my trailer to be built and I'm planning what to skin my trailer with. Forward thinking I know but it may make a difference in the start. My trailer will be 5x10. I haven't finalized the profile I want yet but was leaning toward something like the Grumman. The Grumman (as some other profiles) has front and back curves that go past the frame. If I fit the bottom to fit the 10' frame then my sides will be longer than 10'. So my question is, do they make sheets of aluminum longer than 10'? If not, I don't want a seam on the side. If I made the sides 10' long (at their longest points) then I would have floor space at the front or rear of my trailer that is not used. Am I making myself clear?

Wow, the first question of my build (the first of many I'm sure).

I was wondering why the water balloon was getting bigger... and then it hit me.

If you can track down a semi-trailer builder/repair place, I've heard they have it in rolls as long as you want.
