Looking for my first teardrop. Very interested in building, however no room in my shop.. Size 5x8. Would like a woody type or a fair deal on a custom.

What do you consider a fair deal for a custom?

Keep checking the for sale section here and craigslist. There are some nice used trailers that you an customize and stay in your price range.

Make it tough

Here is one on Ebay less than 200 miles away:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/2008-Homemade-Teardrop-Trailer-Tear-Drop-Camper_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQcategoryZ66470QQihZ004QQitemZ140232660631QQrdZ1QQsspagenameZWDVW

It's not mine. The design is a little funky however it meets the woody, under three hundred miles and price.

PS, I would still probably go with Rick's first.

Hi folks just lurking right now. I have had my kuffle creek plans for almost 2 years now and can't make myself commit to that first cut.

Anyway, I really like the way the doors of the cabin of the above photos hinge up and out instead of conventional. Anyone else do this?

Didn't mean to hijack.....looks like it would be a nice buy.

Breiman,
Try this thread: http://www.tnttt.com/viewtopic.php?t=10926&highlight=gullwing. I could only find some who thought it was a great idea and how they would do it. Oh yeah, welcome aboard.

Very nice trailer however, he'd be a fool to try to pull it with a HD Classic. Gonna end up dead or hurt badly. Even trailer brakes wouldn't help...
best, Tim
