I hope everybody is safe, and my prayers go out to those who are not. As others have said; we dodged a bullet here, all to the north. It's still early in spring though.

That front came through North Texas last night, but it came through dry. No storms -- not even rain. It is just a lot cooler today. We hit 91 yesterday, and are forecasted to just hit 77 today.

Glad to hear our people checking in okay.

Gary and I and Mark and Emalee went camping last night in Arrow Rock, MO. Had horrible winds, lightning and rain. A branch broke off a tree and hit Mark and Em's EZ up and busted one of the legs and the park lost electricity but other than that, had a great camping trip. Sure has been an active storm season in Missouri .... most in several years! Hopefully everything will have settled down by Petit Jean. :worship:

WOW...............you guys are just getting hammered over and over again.

We drove in from Abilene last night. Sky kept lighting up a few rain drops in Crockett. made it home by 2:30 am. Went to bed and woke up to wonderful temps today.

Hope all of our friends up ther are doing ok.

We were lucky here in Catoosa. The wind was really bad, nearlly blew my back porch off, knocked some of my tomato's and corn down. There was a tornado just about 2 miles south of us but didn't do much damage thank God. Our oldest son had taken me to lunch and we had just got home when the wind came up. He helped his Dad try to do something to the porch to keep it on the ground. It did get pretty bad just miles from us. Gene decided to take me camping for Mothers Day, (in the back yard), but needless to say that got changed. We got up to more wind this morning and it was pretty cold. Gene was determined so he set things up and it warmed up and the wind layed a little. He fixed steak, baked potatoes, corn on the cob, salad and cake. It was great! I think I will let him take over the cooking. Thank goodness we didn't have any tornadoes today, my steak would have been in MO.

I am so glad everyone is o.k. with no damage. It is so good to have everyone check in so we know you are o.k.

There where some close tornados in our are mostly east of us in rural area most touch downs took place. Some where not so lucky farther east and north. :worship:

I hope they are safe from now on. We weather spotters watch the weather very very closely when it is in the area. :thinking:

Always plan an out and an escape route away from the path of the storm. Usually far behind and below the hook of the storm. :thinking:

I'm loading my laptop with software for weather spotting that gives the GPS of the storm location and information of the storm that are near ( my physically GPS location ) as long as I'm near an Igate node connected to the NWS on the internet ( an internet based server connected ham band radio and a router in a world wide network ). :thinking:

Weird weather! :roll:

...we have been lucky enough to miss the previous storms as they all have gone north of us...until about 5:30 this morning when Alexandria and surrounding areas got hit by straight line winds...lotssa limbs/tree/powerlines down...damaged houses and vehicles...some injuries but no deaths...nothing serious at my place but my Mom had a yard full of limbs, luckily no real damage to her place either...other than the downed limbs.......................

Lots of limbs and one small tree down here...luckily nothing major. I was out on the porch just after 5am watching the lightning popping like a strobe light and the rain falling sideways. When it started hailing and the rain started falling sideways then UP I decided it was time to go back inside and lay low for a while!

Well it rained all day today and we got about .48 of an inch. :applause:

In the mountains to the east of Albuquerque got a light dusting of snow.
Which is good cause there has been a Forest fire going on there for weeks.
