Newbie in Tennessee

:)
I previously owned an '85 Jayco Jay pop up and sadly its falling apart (it was used ALOT). I just discovered teardrops and have the Generic Benroy plans and plan on building my own camper for use by next spring!

Anyone who lives nearby (anybody from Tennessee in the forum?) or really anywhere who can offer advice it would be greatly appreciated. I want to keep it simple and not get in over my head! Thanks!

I am currently trying to purchase a trailer and plan on having one in a month or so!

Like Kerry said just ask but also remember to take lots of :pictures: :pictures: Keeps the bubble oil level around here.

Hi halexanderwilhelm,

Welcome to the forum. That is a pretty long user name, do you have anything else of one or two sylables we can refer to you as? We love to help out and questions are not only accepted, they are expected. If you will take pictures as you go, then if there is a problem, you can post a picture with your question and it's easier to answer. Have fun, and get to building.

See you around.

Hey Alex, welcome to the forum. We are not far down the road from you here in Chattanooga.
I started out with nothing and I still got plenty left.

Hi HXW, for the lack of a better name. Have you considered using the exitsting frame under your old worn out pop up? You might alter it to suit a pretty nifty teardrop. It has been done before on this website, check it out. I suggest you try to touch bases with some of the local builder/users in your area, a good look-see is worth a thousand words.

Remember, once your build starts, take pics, post em, and it has been said that you will never have another chance until you build the second one. Good luck, ask questions and you'll get answers.....always.
