Sounds like a sensible decision.

Looking at your Metz, the thing I notice is how little roof framing it has - and lasting, what?, 50 years is a good test of what's enough roof framing! Any idea of how thick the roof ply is?

Andrew, most of the TT's built in the 50's only had 1/8" ply interior skin and then the spars in which the .020 alum skin was attached with fiber installation between. Although, I do see what your asking. I still think that is an inner skin and the spars that are seen are for extra strength because chances are the roof is less than 1" thick.

And Rick, I to think you made a wise decision.

Thanks, Gage - understood. I guess those inner spars also cover up the seams between the sheets of the inner skin ply.

Rick...I think you made a wise decision. It's one of those things that you'd kick yourself afterwards about. Doug

Rick,

What Doug said! I love that trailer, and in great condition. If I lived closer, I would definitely would have been interested. Of course, I would have had to sell something, but a no brainer, to acquire a trailer like yours.

You made a wise decision. Please let me know if it goes up for sale again.
