ANNIVERSARY . . !

Postby Nobody » Wed Jun 04, 2008 8:46 am

Today Lenora & I are married 48yrs. Had a couple'a racks of ribs on the smoker yesterday; kids & grandkids came over around six'ish for supper & visiting, & we had a great time. Today we're gonna 'blow' a tank of gas in the Santa Fe & just get off by ourselves for a while. 8)

Gotta say it's been a heckuva ride! She's a much better person than me; treats me better'n I deserve & puts up with crap from me that I probably wouldn't from her (not that I've ever had to ;) ). If it's OK with her, think I'll keep her for another 48 :D

Congratulations! Forty-eight years is a long time to put up with each other, and a sign of commitment that is so lacking now.

My heartfelt best wishes go out to you both. :applause: :applause: :applause: :applause: :applause: :applause: :applause: :applause: :applause: :applause: :applause: :applause: :applause: :applause:
Still graced with two eyes and ten fingers (due in no small part to luck!).

Just when you think a problem is solved, an uglier result replaces it.

Congrats Harvey and Lenora! 48 years together is something to be proud of (especially when you toss in a career in the military to the mix--that alone will try the best of marriages!)

Kerry and I will celebrate 25 years together this year, maybe she'll keep me around til we hit 48 and beyond!

Hope to see you both at LCG III
