For a family of four, it takes about 2 city lots for the veggies and strawberries plus land for fruit trees and a gun for wild turkey, deer, etc. Plus a lot of work, canning and freezing to prepare for the off-seasons.
And how much grain? Just say a castrophy happened and even half the population had to feed themselves by hunting and fishing. Is there really enough "wild" game available?

Is there really enough "wild" game available? Even most First Nations people knew they needed to help nature along. That was when wild animals out numbered people.
