Thanks for all of your replies,
I appologize for not posting lately it, I have been real busy hear, I sold my Black TD Fri, I posted it on Craigs List & I sold it in less then a day, I had two other people that looked at it friday morning show up on my door step with cash in hand Friday afternoon & I had to break the news that it had sold, So it looks as if I will be building a couple of more one for one of the guys that missed out & another for a gentleman out of Ca.

That is not including the two that I am presently building

So if everything works out there should be four new VegasTeardrops on the road within the next month or two.

And soon as info is availible I will post it.
I have also have been working on a Calico info page for my web site, Soon as I have it up I will let you know.

Hi All,

I've been lurking on the teardrop lists for awhile. I have a '47 Kit Sportsman which I purchased about 4 years ago off of Ebay. I've been wanting to get it out to a teardrop meet but I haven't make it to any yet.

I vote for the first weekend of October but the group should reserve an area soon. This is also the weekend of the Mogfest at Calico -

http://mogfest.mavericksworld.com/

They already have all of areas A and B reserved. It would make for an interesting weekend of really big trucks and really small trailers. I've been to the Mogfest for the last couple of years and it's been a lot of fun.

In addition to Mercedes Benz Unimogs they also allow other European military and off road vehicles like Pinzgauers and Halflingers to attend. A couple of years ago there was even a motor home built on a M.A.N. 8x8 chassis.

I've been bringing my '72 Styer Puch Pinzgauer the last couple of years. Here is a picture of my Pinzgauer with my '47 Kit Sportsman -

I'm looking forward to getting out and meeting some other teardrop owners sometime.

Bruce

I will be talking with the folks at Calico this week.
I do know that it may be hard to get the area that I want to use some of these sites are booked up to two years in advanced.
I may have an exact date worked out this week, I may just go ahead & pre pay for 20 sites to secure them, I am sure that I will be able to draw at least 20 TD's just from the the interest that I have recieved within this great forum & the private E-mails that I have recievd to my personal E-mail.

I figure with reserving 20 spots If we happened to have more then 20 TD's There is plenty of room to double up, This Park is not like most campgrounds where they limit you to how many vehicles & trailers can be put into one campsite, They charge per unit which is one trailer & one tow vehicle & we can fit as many as we want into the area that I reserve.

In the area that I am trying to get and with a little orgination we could fit 80 TD's & still be real comfortable

SO ANYONE THAT IS INTERESTED PLEASE SEND ME A E-mail
So I can put your Contact information on my possible atendee's list so I can inform you when the gathering info. is available.

Hey Bruce,

I pulled my trailer though Tehachapi this past weekend on my way to (and from) the IDOS Region II Dutch Oven Gathering up at Three Rivers. I'm sure I didn't see your rig 'cause I would have rememberd that!!

Those Pinzgauers are pretty cool!

I don't know if you can reserve the area but

http://www.calicotown.com/events/ghosthaunt/
they have an event before but I did not see anything for HW most events are thrus.-sun. and HW is Fri.

sound like Rib Raddeling time.

We should be up and running by then and back from Our New Mexico trip.

The Mogfest group made their reservation a year in advance to get the spaces with hook ups so the event is scheduled for the first weekend in October rain or shine.

http://www.mogfest.com

All of the reserved spaces have been booked through the Mogfest organizers for several weeks now but fortunately Calico will allow more than one vehicle per space so they should be able to work quite a few extra people in.
