New guy from Florida

Hello all,
I really like the idea of a Tear, been toying arround with the idea of building one then I stumbled on this site! Wow what a great source of info and friendly people. I think I have been reading old posts for five straight evenings now. Have soaked up a lot of great info and am blown away at all the variations and extreme talent that is here. I am currently on the end of a 2 year total restoration of a 1965 Jeep CJ-5 and a tear would be a great way to enjoy my Jeep in a whole different way ( not to mention it would look great behind it ) This site is very similar to my Jeep site ( earlycj5.com ) as far as general helpfulness and enthusium not to mention courtesy. I will probably start a Tear in the fall after the Jeep is complete ,that will give me plenty of time to plan out exactly what I want and maybe accumulate some good deals on some materials.

Hello Steve, the Rockguy. Welcome to the forum, glad you decided to join the group. If you have the time to restore a jeep, building a teardrop will be a snap. There are a number of Jeep folks who indeed do have teardrops, offroad or onroad. Be sure to check out all of the available info on the various sections of this board. Also, as you probably know, we are here to help, so ask any questions you have in mind and there will be no put-downs from any of us. There are no stupid questions.

Many of us were where you are today, and perhaps sometime in the future you will be answering similar questions of future newbies, yourself. Take pics, catch a gathering if you can or check out a local teardroppers trailer. Ok, Floridians, chime in and help this guy. Stand back, Steve, here come more welcomes and advice.
Roly ;)

Welcome Steve

Good call on starting in the fall. I am in the middle of my build and the Florida heat is killing me.

Hi Steve,

Welcome, glad to see a new West Coaster here. (West Coast of Florida, that is) Lots of off road guys and gals here that have built some really nice trailers. If you want to be in tight with the powers that be (Auntie M, and The Mad One, just to name a couple) ya gotta post some pictures. We love pictures. Got any of the jeep project? :D
