Monk, that is a one of a kind unit that was designed and built by the son of the Lady that owned it...I know several folks have expressed interest but don't know of anyone who has copied it.......

I don't remember what was shown on RV crazy, but is it this one? There is probably someone who knows the owner's name. I picked up the pictures from one of the older threads.

Margie Forbes aka " Old Bitty" Heard she sold her rig matching car and all. I think Gage may know a little more if he chimes in.

It doesn't look too complicated if you study the pics carefully.

I still intend to try to duplicate it. Built correctly I feel it would offer some rear end collision protection !

And it's a hell of a conversation starter anyway

Kerry what hasn't been discussed multiple times on this forum !

More and more folks and many of the same questions surface and resurface. The charm is how many ways can designs be rearranged to answer the questions ! :D

I always ask old questions that have been covered before... because new information keeps surfacing... old answers are not as good as new answers... even to the same questions.

Yep, and that is how I got the above picture, and now adding toypushers posted picture to my idea archives. If I see an idea that I like, I copy the picture reference, or PDF the text, or add it to my note page. So many people have answered my questions here, I try to help others out in return.

cuyeda, thanks for the pics. that's all i need. the design is much more simple than i thought. the close ups are very helpful. i should be able to use them as a base and make an improved model. when i do i'll take pics and make some tech drawings and post them.

Ya know, about three years ago when I caught RV Crazy , it was her that made me think "she's pretty cool... if she can do it, I can do it ..."
and the rest is history ... or uh, bling bling.

Anyhoo... part of my new & improved Jewel Box may include a receiver hitch on the back of the tear. This gives me ideas on some kind of spare tire mount and/or table...

Julie,
A teardrop with a 'spare table' is up for sale on the Tales and Trails Classifieds. I dropped a note to the builder to see how he did it. I was thinking of modifying a freedom grill mount so that a tire could be added to it.

Oh yeah the add is here: http://www.teardrops.net/classads01.html

You might consider a flip-up table top that is part of the lid for a footwell. Mine even extends out to both doors, slides back and forth for easy entry and is great for eating my prime rib when it rains. Four butts on the cushions and 8 feet in the footwell make for cozy eating with friends.
