Good deal on jumper cables

Postby texasdog » Sun Jun 22, 2008 8:25 pm

Today I got a (brand new in a case) set of (400a) 16 foot, 4 ga jumper cables for $15. I thought that was a good deal - and stopped by NAPA on the way home to confirm. They had the same thing for about $75. Wow! At $15, they're worth buying even if you lop the ends off and use the cable for something else (which is what I intend to do).

A place called "second chance". They have a lot of used military stuff in there, but also a lot of new, very cheap other things, such as tools and miscellaneous other things, like jumper cables (:

I bought the same set a while back. If you need an extra set of ends for those cables, let me know. I lopped the ends off and used the cable from the battery (mounted on the front) to the distribution panel (in the galley). Cheaper than buying 4ga. cable, with copper at the high price it is!

Holy cow! I can't believe these guys have a website. If you could see their store, you'd know why. Anyway - cool (:
