We're in slot 65 - same as last year and were close to the restrooms - a reasonable distance - the map is somewhat misleading about distances

Sounds good. It is sure hard to tell by the map, looks like a long walk. That would be o.k., I need the exercise, just not good in a big hurry.
Looking forward to seeing you guys.

Grani, I'm glad y'all gotta spot...like Tony sez, the map is a little misleading...all the spots are on the same one-way road which makes a loop around a little finger that juts out into the lake...the bathhouse/restrooms are pretty centrally located with #'s 25 and 55 being the closest...the site y'all have is a little more isolated than the lower #s but is still a nice site as they all are...you really can't see the lake from there but just might see more deer and other wildlife...see ya there...Aaiiieeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

Fellow campers, the greatest event of the year is only 4 months away. 8)

I was looking at the reservation web site and there are only 15 sites left.
1, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 13, 17, 19, 66, 67

Call this number (877-226-7652) toll free. $10.00 down to get a site.

If you don't get one soon, some one else will. We are not the only one's that like camping there on that weekend.

Last year at LCG II Mad Jacks wife let me look at her Racquet Zapper.

For those that have never heard of the Racquet Zapper
Image
The Racquet Zapper consists of three grids: an electric grid surrounded by two protective grids. To operate the Racquet Zapper, just spot the flying target, push in the trigger button to electrify the middle grid, swing and zap! The Racquet Zapper runs on 2 AA batteries, included.

The Racquet Zapper is ideal for mosquitoes and flies, but it also works well on wasps and other flying pests.

Anyway back to my story. I'm sitting on this deck visiting with Mad Jack and his crew when along comes this bee, getting to close for my comfort zone. I swung at the bee with the Racquet Zapper, I wanted to see if this thing worked, the bee stuck to the racket and went snap, crackle and pop. I thought cool, I got to get me one of these.

While at Northern Tools the other day I got one. I'm planing ahead for LCG III.

I figure after visiting Tony's juicer machine me and the bugs are going to have fun. :wine: :tipsy:

I'm easily entertained. :P

Dave an Cindy have one of those zappers. I understand that you don't want to touch one to your nose.

CD

NEVER OPERATE DANGEROUS EQUIPMENT AFTER DRINKING ALKEHALL!

(and I think that CD is offering up the drinks and nametags this year.)
Still graced with two eyes and ten fingers (due in no small part to luck!).

Just when you think a problem is solved, an uglier result replaces it.

I bet that cleared out the old nasal cavity.

That must be why they added this protective grid to the racquet.

Are you still sore because I got your campsite?

Actually, I have a cool idea for name tags. I just need to gather up some round tuits.

Me sore? Nope. Never was. Maybe I just dreamed you mentioned taking those on. Or was it someone else?

I suppose I could do it -- with MaryK to help me gather all the names. We made a good team last year.

I don't think I'll have time to build a Rita-Rator, though. But, you can use my deck. I'll even chip in a bottle of Ta-killer again. :D

If there are any sites open we will be calling R/A for a site as soon as they open. We have never been to a gathering and would love to see and be around people with small campers. I am tired of seeing all the big rigs when we go camping. Around here they just look at us like we are crazy. Are there any plans so we know what to bring?

Hi doit...use this # for reservations instead of R/A...877-226-7652...it is the direct line to the La State Parks reservation system...it will save ya a couple of bucks...last I checked there were around 20 sites left, as far as plans go, keep any eye to this thread or other related LCG threads as the time gets closer, more specific info will be posted...looking forward to seeing you and that rear door Scotty.....
