Robinson sheetmetal screw removal

Postby Sparky » Sat Jun 28, 2008 1:23 pm

I have been tring to remove the awning rail for the 1957 Trotwood canned ham, after exausting all my ideas and also purchasing the Craftmans Screw Removal Kit, I can only get out 1 of every 5. I now have many with drilled out heads, screw is still holding. :( Any ideas?

I have used a dremel tool with a cut off disc to grind a straight slot so I can use a regular screwdriver.

You may want to use a Dremel or similar tool to just grind the heads off and remove the trim that way!!

about 8 ounces of C4 in a shaped charge would probably get it off..

no really..just drill the heads off, grind down the stems and put new screws in at different places.
