How do I tell good windows from also-ran's"

I've found these locally. Only one, rather than the 2 twins I need.

Are there any tips 'n traps for us un-educated types about what to look for or avoid when choosing or not-choosing a set of windows?

Such as locks, bezels ( whatever they are ) etc
