Heidi passed on nearly three years ago. I found her abandoned at a rest area at 3 1/2 months old, she was with me for 15 years. I still miss her.

My furbabies

Postby Mighty Mouse » Tue Jul 01, 2008 1:25 am

These are my furbabies. (Assuming I don't mess up trying to post pics here, first try) Sassy is our Shelty she is so small people assume she is a minature, Douggy Doggy is a boston trerrier that showed up at our house one night and after finding the owner he told us he couldn't keep him, so if we wanted we could have him free of charge cause we seemed like good animal people. The cat is DC which is suppose to stand for Douggies cat she is his best friend next to his daddy.

This is Lucy. She is a therapy dog. Likes to visit the local Alzheimer's center. The residents there enjoy petting her.

OK, we all see the three letter word - D O G - and have to compete on who's dog is the cutest, prettiest, funniest, etc. Yeah, I know. Its catching!

Here's my entry: Caitie. I rescued her in Dec, 2007. She is a Catahoula Leopard dog - and one of the sweetest, most loving, most beautiful, most (name your poison) dog there ever was!

And, here we are, Mark, Caitie and I, on the New river in WV.

Those of you who come to the North Meets South gathering will have a chance to meet her.

Both of our original dogs passed on years ago. We now have Tucker who really belongs to our grandaughers. And Penny who is a rescue dog and Veda who belongs to the grandson.

My daughter got Tucker when someone threw him out of a moving car in a wet Kansas winter. Poor thing was all tuckered out.
Image

I adopted Penny when she was 11weeks. She had gotten tangled in some wires and lost her leg as a result. She had been in the Vet's office since she was 4 weeks. Now the office is adjoining Pets Mart. 8) When they let her out she would take a run, slide on the side missing the leg and get under the counters and cabinets. 8) We have wood floors so she had a wonderful time until she got too big and bumped her head on the chairs. She has a full body hugging thing and weighs 80 pounds. She doesn't slide anymore but loves the snow and ice.

Image

They are sure cute but neither tolerates car rides. They shake and get sick so they don't get to go fishing or camping with me.
