And I've got 2 camping trips between now and then, When will I find time to work on it

I'm going down the Thursday night before Madison and staying at Clifty falls park and playing around. We'll see how the family does with 3 nights in a camper.

Scott,

You can give "Jim's friends" names. They are Tom & Laurie.

I sure will, I was unsure. I'll fix it when I get home  I like having names makes it all more personal.

I will also post this in the For Sale section later, but since we will be at the Madison gathering I will post it here for those who may be interested in first dibs.

We have four 10x10 First-Up Blue Canopies for sale that we bought at Walmart. They were set up one time for our retirement party on 31 May in our back yard when the not so great weather people were predicting rain that evening. Well, the rain came but not until late, late that night (luckily). They were dried out, repacked and have been in the garage.

We have one just like it and are on our third year using it with no problems

Price is $65.00 each. Let me know if you want one and I'll bring them to the Madison Ribberfest.

Here's the link if you want to look at them. They are the straight leg type so the coverage really is 10x10.

Thanks, Mark and Pat

Hey Mark & Pat,

Are you the ones that bought a Yoder Toter last year? If so, I'm looking forward to seeing it. I considerend one before I started building mine but never did go see one.

Oops. I just read your signature line and see that you are, and have build another TD. What made you decide to build after buying to Toter? Do you still have both?

I just discovered I have a conflict! Wouldn't you know the weekend of the Salamonie campout is the same weekend Jerry Lee Lewis is playing in Mansfield, OH. :( So now do I go see "The Killer" or go camping? This is the worst. What to do  Bummer!

I won't be offended if you pick "The Killer" over the Salamonie. Jerry doesn't have too many more seasons but the Salamonie will be there for some time. :)

Keep us posted. I'd hold the camp site for a while to see if some one would want to "buy" #220 from you.

Hi Scott. I'm still here but, you're right, not a lot of chatter lately. :(

I ordered me "Madison T-shirt " and it should be here this weekend.

I'm going to start practicing on making biscuits and sausage gravy very soon. If Jim can't make it to Salamonie I'll have to develop my version. It's a tradition ya know. Jim's legacy to teardrop gatherings.

It's OK though since I love to eat (especially breakfast)

Well, gotta go and make the doughnuts....I mean biscuits.

For Biscuits and gravy I'll donate Vickie.

There were about 8 of us at Brown County floundered on her B's & G's. For a gal that could barely boil water when I found her she has become one Hell of a good cook. I am living proof all #300 of me.

HI SCOTT

good to hear the rolling stone is still a work in progress too

since Brown County I have conquered all my electrical gremlins added an on board 12 volt battery and installed my telescopic changing room. At this rate by about 2012 I ought to have all the trim installed. OH WELL were all on teardrop time ain't we ???

Hey Jim,

Sorry for the late response, I missed this one......

We built our first one, a 4x8 Cubby, in 05/06 and it was a bit small, and we sold it to a lady friend of ours. We bought the Yoder Toter, and liked it, but after building the first one we really wanted to camp in something we built. Got a lot of good ideas from the Yoder though. We sold it to a couple in Georgia when we finished the DragonFly. We've started on teardrop #4. Being retired now, it's always nice to have a project going on.

Kurt, Don't give up on me yet for Salamonie. I've got 3 months to make up my mind. Not sure if I want to give up a whole weekend as The Killer will only do 8 or 9 songs and I did see him in St. Petersburg last year. In any event I'll have biscuits & gravy at Madison. If you want I'll give you a crash course on making it. It's so simple even a cave man oops! thats Scotts line.

Heading to NY and Lon Guyland on the 18th but we'll be ready for Madison when we get home. We got our arm bands in the mail last week.

WOW you guys go through tear drops like I go through shirts. I know what you mean though building gets in your blood. I've thought about building another one but this year I'm involved in driveway paving (1/4 mile) and deck rebuilding. Now I'm laying paving blocks near the deck for my grill. I hurt in places I didn't know I had. The budget doesn't include another TD this year.
