1st camping trip!!!!

Postby benzu » Mon Jul 07, 2008 1:34 pm

Took the trailer on it's first trip away from and she performed great! :D

Our campground was pretty slanted so we had to put the hitch on the ground and lift the back up a bit more with rocks just to get it level but made for a really stable bed.

None of the interior is done, and the waterproofing the galley and doors still need work but everything else worked great. I figured out how to install my floating fenders, I'll have better pictures later.

Can't wait to get out again.

Nice!

It looks like you were camped on a pretty steep slope. Would hate to think what would happen if the rocks failed!

I was wondering why the water balloon was getting bigger... and then it hit me.

Hope your tear pulls add sets up as good as it looks. You must have gotten you fenders mounted to your satisfaction - they sure look well mounted and add a lot to your tear. I fell off of my lawnmower trailer and injured a knee so I guess I get back on track and soon as Duke Med can figure out my ortho problem. Still hope to be camping later in the summer or early fall.

Congrats on the first campout. Fun, isn't it?:applause: :applause: :applause:

I'm screwed if I ever get a camping spot like that--I can never remember to pack the rocks!
Still graced with two eyes and ten fingers (due in no small part to luck!).

Just when you think a problem is solved, an uglier result replaces it.

Thats my daughter and my wife put this "because I'm hot" tattoo on her which wont come off with out major scrubbing. So there it stays going on week two.

I bet that galley was a bit high. I would not of had to bend over a bit, that would have been nice. My poor wife would have been on her tippy toes though.
