Hello,
My name is Doug, I live in Mesa, AZ. I want to build my own Teardrop Trailer, now I just need the funds, some room, and my wife's permission. I am having a lot of fun just checking out the designs and coming up with a plan of my own though. Looks like some really nice trailers here.

Like a lot of folks here, my wife is warming up as the build progresses. I'm getting galley comments, feedback on cabinets vs shelves etc.

She'll be all set by the time Rose is done.
Holy cow, Rose is a teenager now! Done? Surely you jest. A teardrop is never "done".

Welcome Hedge,

I'm acrossed the valley from you in Peoria. I just went on my first outing in my new (to me) teardrop. It was a blast and you will meet a lot of great people.

Hello Doug,
Welcome from Texas. It is important to get the better half on board for the build. I took much the same tack as you did. I started asking her design the colors/accessories for the trailer. That did it for me! :applause: Good luck on your build.

Hey Hedge,

Welcome to the forum.

It'll all work out! You'll be building before you know it! 8)

Welcome, Doug! I am in process with my Weekender rendition over in Avondale! Been too hot to work the last few weeks, :? but this weekend promises to be great! 8)

Depending on where you want to start your build, there is a torsion axle currently on Craig's list on my side of the valley. Only if you want to start with a welder rather than a saw. Here's the link:

My wife thought I was crazy until she had a look at the teardrops on this website. We ended up buying a teardrop and restoring it a few weeks later. After the first campout she's been more excited to go camping than me! Hope your dreams of building and owning a teardrop can materialize soon! :applause: 8)

Welcome aboard Neighbor to the West.
Like many here have told me you don't have to start big or everything right now, just start small and get things as you go and eventually you'll have a Tear Drop.

Image to the playground Doug. If you have trouble talking the partner in just take her to see one. My husband loves ours now.

One thing though, you need a :pictures: :pictures: as it is part of the treatment process and keeps the bubble oil level.
