Actually Jane hadn't been out to the shop to look at # 2 for quite awhile and saw the improvements, it sold itself. It was her idea to keep #2, to my delight. If and when #1 sells I'll think about a #3 .

I finished up the cabin interior today. It pretty much looks the same as TD-1 with the exception of a walnut decorative thingy @ the headboard (instead of Red Oak) and Walnut beads around the light switch plates. Now I’ll concentrate on building the galley cabinets & then the tongue box. That's one of Grant's great custom aluminum door hinges .

Thanks Doug, as you well know it's a lot of work to get everything just right. I learned how to make the wire chase molding on the walls easier this time. The first one I hogged it out with the saw and router, what a job. It was dangerous too. This time I used 6/4 lumber vs 4/4 . After I was satisfied with the shape I re sawed 1/4" off the face of each piece of molding . After running both pieces through the sander I ripped the thicker piece on the band saw to 1/2" (bottom edge) and then glued the 1/4" piece to it to make the wire chase molding. The grains match up perfectly and you can't tell it wasn't always solid. Danny

After towing TD # 2 to San Diego and back this past weekend I decided it was too low. I ordered a new set of axle side hangers for my Dexter Torsion Axle and welded them onto 3/16" x 2" x 3" x 11" pieces of square tubing. With the 9/16" holes drilled and 9/16" automotive nuts, lock washers & bolts it was easy to just bolt the risers onto the old axle hangers on the chassis. I did a little welding just to make sure it all stays put. I may go back to the 27" tires since I now have 4" clearance between the tires and fenders and that will leave me with 3" clearance. Towed it down to the Puyallup valley for dinner tonight and everything is okay . It was an easy fix. Danny

Thanks Dave. I don't hold a candle to her obsessions. I saw once she had to have a white microphone to sing a particular song . I'll have to agree searching for details is one of my traits, it bugs Jane sometimes but she likes the end results. Danny

I completed the galley today. I haven't out tried the new Camp Chef stove/oven combination but it looks a lot nicer than the Outback one.
They made some improvements that I like. Jane made the curtains yesterday.
Now I need to make the tongue box and wood curtain rods & it'll be done. Danny

It's beautiful, terrific! That stove/oven is a real WOW-er! Those galley cabinets, counters, etc. look a lot better than some people's kitchens! Anyone can see the love, knowledge and care taken in building it.

Thank You Greg & Sharon. Heck if I had known about Canary wood when I did my kitchen in 1988 I would have used that instead of the Red Oak. Did do a bath case in it though. The new stove'simprovements are self ignition with brass burners and has a notch for the oven door to stay open a smidgen instead of using a wood spoon to hold it open. No propane hose either just screw a bottle to it and cook. The hinges and handle are improved too. We'll have a chance to try it out on the weekend. Danny
