I just registered at your forum since this one was the largest and seemed to be the most helpful I found on the net :) .I come from mid Europe-Slovenia, so please don't be hard on my English;). Ok, i own a '65 VW T1 (restoration still in progress) and I really want to build a teardrop since I won't have any beds in my bus.I did all the ''search'' for some nice teardrop plans but haven't found any good.I went thru most of the teardrop designs and model WILDGOOSE is maybe the most interesting for me.What do you think about this model?

Please write down anything you want beacuse I am still a ''rookie'' in this trailer things afterall.

Thanks for your help, jan

Imageto the playground Jan. There are some pretty detailed plans all over this board. Are you looking for full size patterns?

UP in the Vintage Plans in the menu you will find a PDF for the Wildgoose.

Good luck on your search for the perfect plans, Jan, and do try to keep the bubble oil level. Very important when building a teardrop.

As an aside, if you look closely, it seems that Aunti M needs some recalibration of the bubble oil pic in her post. Having relied on a level for half a century, that li'l ol' bubble is supposed to be "exactly" between the two little marks. Oh well, by placing a little wooden wedge under the side of my monitor, Bingo, it's right on!........Just pulling your leg a little, Miriam.

If you're like I have been, your initial plans will change many times before and after your build starts. That's a lot of the appeal of building your own teardrop so you can make it yours and the pride factor with creating your own one of a kind camper.

I saw the perfect trailer for a vw bus on July 4th up in Flagstaff. I'll have to find the picture on my other computer and post it for you!

Jan,

Just came across your posting asking for any Midget owners. My wife and I built one several years ago and have been camping in it as much as we can. The plans are from the February and March 1940 issues of Popular Mechanics Magazine. There are several scanned versions on the net for free. That's how we got them. We have since located both original editions on EBAY. Let me know if you are still looking for information?
