Pics from the beach

Got back from Matagorda where we had a blast. Great weekend, Great people, Great Fun!

Our weekend of fun included flying a kite all weekend.
We really enjoyed it until dark when we could no longer see the kite. A little tequilla and a few minutes of talking helped us to decide that we needed to somehow light the kite where we could see where it was. The next day Razorback came back from Walmart with various lighting devices which we all begin devising a way to get them up to the kite. A parachute made from a bandana, a few swivels, and a couple of led lights later and we had light heading up to the kite. We'll that wasn't quite bright enough for us so we took a hat led light and quickly modified it for the assent to the kite. This was perfection. In less than 15 minutes the whole RV park was a buz with people coming out of their big RVs to see what they thought was a UFO. After talking to a very good humored deputy, Cindy assured him it was just a kite with flashing led lights. The deputy told us that they would just tell everyone that they were investigating.

Probably the best joke we've pulled off yet.

But can you explain the strange coincidence of the alien abducted dog?

Thanks for the great pics!
Still graced with two eyes and ten fingers (due in no small part to luck!).

Thanks Tony, in all the great fun I had forgotten about the dog. As far as I know it vanished without a trace. Maybe we attracted something more.

Yes, but who won the putting the alcohol away contest when the police truck showed up?
And who found the slowest restaurant in Texas?

Sounds like you all had a blast! Sure wish we could have been there. I really got a bang out of the story of the kite but tell me what was it about the dog? Can you talk about it on here? You guys are great and I sure do miss you all. Cindy I hope you had a nice birthday. I owe you a present.

What is it about this crew. Water baloons falling out of the sky and ufo's ????????

I was wondering why the water balloon was getting bigger... and then it hit me.

...thanks for the pics Dave...great as usual...we hated missing out, but the shake up at Marlene's job has left her unable to take anytime off...UFOs, flashing lights, missing dogs...well, one thing for sure, the SCT group sure knows how to have a REALLY good time.......
