Beachbuggy--come on over and visit and kick the tires. We won't mind.

Steve, keep the bowl of shrimp ready for me. I'll be in late Friday night probably 10 to 10:30.

See y'all there.
Still graced with two eyes and ten fingers (due in no small part to luck!).

I finally got through and the guy said there were going to be 11 spaces of us but the best I can count is 6. I don't know who those others are but we should have plenty of room. He said the park is not crowded at all. We are getting there late on Thursday and will get all the sites marked.

See you there.

You know, Cindy ... if I had an extra $250 for *#$&@ gas money , I'd jumped in the car and hook up an empty teardrop and get outta this *#$#& city and away from the *#A$*! stuff going on here and come party with y'all and raise some *#A$&!

Macy found a sub and we will leave this afternoon. Do not know if we will make it all the way today but should arrive by noon Friday.

Another fun time!

Here's a link to the pictures I took:

http://s220.photobucket.com/albums/dd18/tonzj/matagorda%20july%202008/

It was an intimate little gathering with six trailers. But oh, the trouble we got into! I won't go into detail now, but let me just say it included planes, trains and motorcycle accidents--visits from law enforcement--UFO sightings--alien abductions--campers forcing people to find new uses for urinals--2 birthday celebrations--sunburn--great food--and the normal late nights with people talking smart, killing brain cells and more laughing than should be allowed by law (in fact, we almost got cited!).

We made new friends with Razorback (Larry and Macy), and got to see the debut of Peggy and Earl's (Peggyearlchris) beautiful trailer. Great job, guys! :applause: :applause: :applause:

We also had a vist by new member Beachbuggy who was giving everyone's trailer the once over to steal design ideas for their tear project.

I broke Danny's chopper, but redeemed myself with the creative use of a battery post cleaner.

I had a great time, Jake had a great time, and I can't wait to go camp there again and camp with this group. It really was almost too much fun.

By the way, did any of you know that kites can tinkle?!

We are all wanting a break from the stress of life. This is camping way to releave the problems of the stress. I feel Julie's pain and wanting to go and not being able to leave. I had the same time this week also have and double work week of 86 hours. The bad part was I missed the first day ( 13 hours at the doctors office and losing sleep before work ). The followup of working the rest of 73 hours still sick. I enjoyed the pictures and they make me feel ALOT BETTER seeing them.

Thanks Tony for more pictures to look at. That Park looks great on the beach and fun. The site shelter look nice and airy also. The Kite light idea was great!

Great time and great people. We had a blast.
The lights on the kite was the only thing all weekend that was able to get the people in the mobile apartments out of their trailers. Whoda thunk LED's could be so much fun. ( I am sure their will be x-mas tree's in the sky at the next gathering.)

The surf was too rough to go offshore but Tony and I had fun in the river. Tony's yak is truly a work of art and I was honored to be able to paddle it. It is a rocket. I was amazed at the speed.

The park was immaculate. The hosts would clean up the sites after people left within 5 minutes. All of the facility's were kept in clean tip top condition. We will visit this park often. Sherri really enjoyed being at the beach on grass and the lack of sand.

The new yak outperforms its old owner. I still have a big learning curve, but it is fun to paddle. And I was happy to be able to turn it over to an experienced paddler in Steve so I could actually see it out on the water.

Well it is Monday night and Macy and I are at the River Road Camp on the Guadalupe River. Big thanks to Danny for the heads up on this swell place to cool off. Danny the Gristmill was everything you said it would be. Macy and I laughed about how much fun it would be to have a group of Teardroppers in Toobs floating with adult beverages. Has anyone ever had a gathering on the Guadalupe?
Tony it was really nice to meet you this past weekend. Your yak is just unbelivable!! Jake; what a great dog!
Steve and Sherrie and Dave and Cindy thanks again for putting this together. Macy and I really enjoyed the visit and the food. Thanks to Steve and Sherrie for the fantastic dinner. Thanks to Cindy for breakfast.
Thanks to Danny for........being Danny.
Peg and Earl, what a great job you did on your trailer.
Macy and I really appreciated your acceptance for two old Arkies.
Dave, I really am smarter than you because of the longer time I have been on this Earth.

Just don't nap too long or I'll catch up with ya! After all you only have about 14 hours to stay ahead of me.
