Well the ceiling is installed. You can see just how I did it HERE. Right now, I don't see a need for screws or glue in the ceiling. Except I will be adding 3M spray adhesive to the first and last spar just for the hell of it.

And Danny, I'm not to worried about the inside rain. The ceiling ply in my teardrop is completely sealed and it doesn't rain in my tear. There is always ventilation going on. I guess we'll just have to wait and see. Just got to try new things.

Very nice Gage  . You built it the easy way, the ceiling installed on a rabbit from the outside and then the spars. A bead of Titebond II glue along one edge of each spar would insure nothing comes loose. :D Danny

Looks great Gage, nice and clean install.

What is the width on your Kit? In the teardown pics it looks 4', now with all the spars you have in there it looks like 5', must just be an illusion.

Your frame looks to be all of 50#'s before the new Dexter was added, it's an eye opener for me to see the way these originals are / were built.

Heikki - There is 16 spars between the floor and the hinge cross member, but only 15 are common to the ceiling. For the most part they are spaced at 6" except there is one at 4' and 8' measured from the bottom of the front skirt (not shown in any of the pics yet). Also the spar locations where the vent is was controled by the vent.

Steve - Thank you, I appreciate that.

Burke - The KIT is 4 feet wide and the frame is only 3 feet wide. Yep, the frame didn't weight much more than 50 lbs. if that much. The early KIT (1946) frames were made out of what ever they could get there hands on where as in later 46 or early 47 and on, they were fabricated with 'C' channel. But the pattern and tongue were about the same no mater when or where it was built.
