What type of Access Pass are you talking about? Who issued it?

This probably isn't what Marvin is talking about. But you should be able to get one of these if you haven't already got one (age 62 & older). It's a Golden Age Passport issued by National Parks. You get into National Parks for free and get 50% discount on camping at National Parks.

The Golden Age Passport is no longer available. They now issue an interagency pass called the America The Beautiful Pass. This is good at all National Park, BLM National Forest Service and Corp of Engineers Parks. If the park has been contracted out to concessionairs, it is up to them whether or not the accept the pass.

Yep, I had heard that. But they still accept the G.A. Pass if that's what you have. Mater of fact I used mine just last month. Good update Jeff. But what ever, if your eligible (ms), get one.

Yep, the GA pass is good for life, just don't lose it. I'm not quite old enough for one yet, but Donna got hers in Feb. When we went to Hot Springs Nat Park to get it, we got enough discounts that day to pay for it 8)

Having a disability you might qualify for the Interagency Access Passes it used to be the Golden Access Passport. I have the Golden Access Passport which gives me half off the camping fees at camp grounds that are managed by the Corps. There are some state lakes that will honor these discount passes. I got my pass several years ago. At that time it was free, I just had to show proof of disability and it's good for a lifetime. I heard the new passes were the same. But you can check it out.

Go here to get more info on the new passes. http://corpslakes.usace.army.mil/visitors/passes.cfm
