We've been getting some rain the last few days here too. We don't get the monsoon season in Vegas like we used to down in Tucson. Still, we really need the rain. We've been in a drought here for a number of years.

It is storming here as I write...I just had to dodge lightening to get the back of the shop closed up and the gate pulled. I slipped and hit my elbow on the concrete wall and now I just want to do this... :x :fb :? :crying1: and I still have to go back and close the @!#*!@# gate! (sorry for cyber cussing)

Rain ? Humidity? Ugh... if you've been to Oklahoma in the summers, especially August you would know about humidity and burn bans.

Funny how it can be so humid for weeks, yet so dry ....

Luckily, or it seems ... we've actually had a bit of rain lately in OKC and haven't hit 100* yet !!!! It's supposed to be sunny and 93* all weekend ! but if the humidity was up , then we'd be hearing about "Heat Index" which makes it FEEL like 100*.

Makes it really hard to go out and spruce up the trailer.
And the gas $$$ makes it hard to plan camping trips !!!

Ps... possibly, just maybe, but don't hold me to it... pictures maybe posted this week after next .... need to see about getting a welding friend to modify a tongue jack so I can mount my tongue box too...
Some things are way over my head !! ...but it keeps me looking UP!

JoAnn, I'm sure you'll get everything in and then some for your trip. Congrats on the DO stuff, you'll make a fine leader of your group.

Peggy your tear looks great.

Sam, so glad you met up with our fellow teardroppers and had a good time.

Shelley I'm excited that the new job is going well for you. I'll be praying your get some serious camping in soon.

Carol wb and do I understand you sold the old house? If so, congrats, it's a tough time to sell right now. Flipside is, it's a good time to buy. Hopefully your sale benefitted you on the new purchase.

Well, the Inkwell is being worked on this Saturday. It needs a new axle. Tomorrow Paul and I will bring it to the weigh station and see how heavy it is. I believe the first axle was defective but I didn't know sooner that was a real problem. I mentioned to Paul that the wheels were on too much of an angle but he thought it was the way the axle was build. Needless to say, I want it weighed to make sure we aren't over the specs for the weight of the axle and if so, I'm hoping to get a refund on the old one. I was thinking of making a post asking everyone to guess my weight but then I realized that could land a bunch of comments I wouldn't want to deal with.

Lynn

Hopefuly they will refund the axel.

Woo-hoo!! I'm leaving for the IRG in 2 days!!

But...just heard that something squirrely is going on at work today...just pray that it doesn't keep me from leaving on time. I'll be so sad if it does. :(

I haven't done much since getting it back , it's been either rainy or humid or I've just been work working and such ...

Ya know Peg... I said I would show it off to my girl friends first... hopefully I'll get around to actually getting the pics on a computer after this week... things are ya know, crazy... but I'd rather be crazy than sane sometimes!!!

There's no way I can get ALL the bling bling done in one weekend, and some of it might not show up in pictures anyway ...
